We collaborate with different federations to promote women's sport in Spain
In relation to the agreement signed with the National Sports Council, Iberdrola supports different sports federations, selected according to the extraordinary level of success achieved, the high participation rate, the existence of programs to promote the sport at grassroots level and other social projects.
Along with the National Sports Council (CSD), Iberdrola has recently renew its commitment supporting 15 national federations that stand out for promoting and increasing the participation of women in all areas of sport through the Women, Health and Sport initiative:
Iberdrola is now the official sponsor of the Women's First Division Football League and of the National Women's Football Team in all categories.

The company is one of the main entities promoting women's rugby: it is the sponsor of the national rugby team and of the Iberdrola Rugby Division of Honour, a championship in which eight of the best national women's rugby teams play against each other.

Iberdrola increases the visibility of this discipline with different initiatives, such as the Iberdrola Circuit, a championship in which eight of the best women's rhythmic gymnastics clubs of each Autonomous Community will participate.

The company also supports Spanish triathlon with different events and competitions. The 2016 Women's Triathlon in Gijón (Asturias, Spain) broke the records with a participation of over 150 women.

The national women's handball team is now participating in the Women's Universe programme and in the Women, Health and Sport initiative. Its support to the Guerreras includes the launch of the Iberdrola 'Guerrera' Awards.
