THE TOUR

We support and promote the role of women in sport

As part of the Women's Universe programme, this new sports format has been designed to convey the ideas of effort and self-improvement by practising and demonstrating several sports, and to be a spokesperson for the achievements of Spanish sportswomen.

Mujer, Salud y Deporte.

The Women, Health and Sport Tour is part of the Women's Universe programme run by the Higher Sports Council (CSD), of which Iberdrola has been the main sponsor since July 2016. Iberdrola is the first company in Spain to undertake a global commitment to foster the participation of women in all areas of sport.

This initiative toured seven Spanish cities in 2017 thanks to the involvement of the councils, the Young Sports Foundation and the Higher Sports Council, and the help of the Spanish sports federations attached to the Universo Mujer program.

Its main aim is to raise public awareness of women as an active and fundamental part of sport in Spain.

Five new stages have already been planned for 2018, starting with the city of Murcia on 13, 14 and 15 April.
