Experience, relationships and training, the key process of professional development at Iberdrola

Internal training and professional development are the key factors required for the success of the organisation and the personal and professional satisfaction of employees.

  • Agreement signed between Iberdrola and the MIT to boost innovation in clean energies: the company's employees can receive training from the MIT, and university students can be hired as interns and work for Iberdrola Group companies.
  • Agreement signed between Iberdrola and Comillas University (Madrid, Spain) and Strathclyde University (Glasgow, United Kingdom) for the development of the programme "MBA in the Global Energy Industry". The purpose of this two-and-a-half-year MBA, designed in collaboration with the Iberdrola Management School, is to train the professionals of the future, thanks to the 15 modules that address different topics related to the sector, including regulation, government, energy and sustainability, leadership and strategy, and the degree essay. The students of the second programme have already graduated: the first graduation ceremony was held on 10 November in Glasgow and the second on 13 November in Madrid.

Ignacio Galán, the company's Chairman, Frank Mitchell and Marion Venman, CEO of ScottishPower Energy Networks and Head of Legal and General Secretary, respectively, participated in the graduation ceremony held at Barony Hall (Glasgow), congratulating all graduates and their families.
