On the occasion of the last General Shareholders' Meeting, held on April 2, 2020, Iberdrola launched the Virtual Shareholder's Assistant, a chatbot to rapidly and efficiently answer, on-line and in real time, any questions you may have regarding any issue relating to it.

Over the years, Iberdrola has been promoting the engagement of its Stakeholders with the company in order to encourage long-lasting relations with them based on mutual trust. For this purpose, it has since 2005 been publishing the Shareholder's Guide, which this year was converted for the first time into a virtual assistant (or chatbot) to facilitate and further expedite answers to queries regarding the 2020 General Shareholders' Meeting, held Thursday 2 April.

WHAT INFORMATION DID THE VIRTUAL SHAREHOLDER'S ASSISTANT PROVIDE?

The Virtual Shareholder's Assistant offered information regarding the items making up the agenda for the Meeting and explained, in all detail, the initiatives and incentives that the Iberdrola group uses to actively encourage the participation of its shareholders.

WE ENCOURAGE THE ENGAGEMENT OF OUR SHAREHOLDERS

Iberdrola group was the first Spanish company (and one of the pioneers worldwide) to approve a Shareholder Engagement Policy that clearly formalises the company's commitment to dialogue and closeness with its shareholders. One of its main objectives is a proactive search for two-way interaction with shareholders in order to encourage their engagement in corporate life and forge a sense of belonging.

The General Shareholders' Meeting is undoubtedly the main channel for participation of the shareholders, and for that reason we at Iberdrola strive each year to improve their experience and make it increasingly accessible, transparent and inclusive, applying the international ISO 20121 standard regarding sustainable event management systems. The General Shareholders' Meeting has been considered a sustainable event certified by AENOR since 2016 and has the Erronka Garbia environmental seal given by the Basque Government through the state-owned company Ihobe.

At Iberdrola we hope to gain first-hand knowledge of the interests of our shareholders through dialogue and participation.
