Committed to society and well-being
Our contribution to society manifests itself through programmes and actions that foster training, culture, respect for the environment and solidarity.
Community activities in conjunction with Government and civil society organisations form a large part of Iberdrola's commitment to the community. Detailed information about these actions is available in the annual reports and on the corporate websites of Iberdrola's subsidiaries and affiliate companies in Spain, the UK, U.S. and Brazil.
Iberdrola's commitment to society materialises in actions in support of the community, art & culture, environment and innovation, all of which make up its "social dividend".
The main principles and general framework of action to manage the corporate social responsibility practices that the Group assumes are set out in the General Corporate Social Responsibility Policy [PDF].
Lack of access to essential energy services has a negative impact on people's quality of life and their opportunities for development. This programme has allowed us to help more than 3,900,000 people to benefit from electricity through projects undertaken in several countries in Latin America and Africa.

ABOUT US >
HUMANITARIAN WORK AND AWARENESS
Contribute to the protection of children by collaborating with Unicef and Aldeas Infantiles. We are involved in fundraising campaigns and different types of activities. As far as awareness is concerned, we are firmly committed to the fight against gender-based violence.
Culture and art and their ethical and aesthetic values help us understand and transform the world, and also inspire us to safeguard our rich historical heritage. Iberdrola plays a key role as a patron of the arts and in heritage conservation, and through it, contributes actively to promoting economic and social development.
