OCORE do Rio de Janeirofoi criado em maio de 2019 para gerenciar de forma centralizada os ativos renováveis do grupo Iberdrola no Brasil, assim como para dar suporte à sua previsão de crescimento durante os próximos anos. Assim, o centro monitoriza atualmente17 parques eólicos e seis subestações(que perfazem uma potência instalada total de 500 megawatts). Em 2022, prevê-se que controle 27 instalações renováveis e outras cinco subestações, que totalizarão cerca de 1.500 megawatts.
O CORE do Rio de Janeiro é o mais avançado tecnologicamente de todos os centros de controle do grupo pois inclui as últimas versões da plataforma CORE, além dos mais modernos sistemas operacionais, resoluções gráficas e softwares Scada. Além disso, utiliza asmelhores práticas de cibersegurança.
Objetivos do CORE do Brasil
Otimizar a gestão dos ativos de geração renovável que utilizam modalidades contratuais diferentes de venda de energia.
Reduzir os custos de manutenção e operação.
Padronizar a operação dos aerogeradores procedentes de diferentes fabricantes.
Melhorar o cumprimento dos procedimentos de rede exigidos pela agência nacional de energia elétrica do Brasil.
