Iberdrola strengthens its social commitment in the US with over 42,000 hours of volunteering

Employees at Avangrid, the Iberdrola Group’s subsidiary in the United States, contributed more than 42,000 hours of volunteering in 2025—significantly exceeding the annual target and increasing tenfold the number of hours recorded since the company began tracking this impact in 2021.

This figure reflects the teams’ growing commitment to the communities where the Group operates, as well as its dedication to a purpose-driven energy model.

Charitable initiatives led by Avangrid employees took place across 26 states and benefited 431 social organisations, focusing on key areas such as social inclusion, education, health and environmental protection. Highlights of the year included blood donation drives, reforestation of natural areas, food and toy collections, and support for social housing projects.

The impact of this volunteering effort was further amplified through the corporate programme Energized for Good, through which the Avangrid Foundation channelled more than $830,000 in additional funding to local community organisations.
