Iberdrola Energía Internacional

Liderazgo en mercados clave

Iberdrola Energía Internacional is the Iberdrola Group's subsidiary in charge of consolidating its presence in key markets outside its main areas of operation. With an installed capacity of 4,102 MW at year-end 2024, the company drives the Group's international leadership and global growth in electricity.

At Iberdrola we have become an international benchmark in the energy sector thanks to an integrated growth strategy. Iberdrola Energía Internacional, S.A.U. is the Group’s subsidiary that develops activities outside the countries where the other subholding companies operate – that is, in countries other than Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, Brazil and Mexico. The Group therefore plans to invest up to €5 billion in its existing business in the European Union and Australia, further strengthening these markets.

"According to the International Energy Agency, an unprecedented increase in global electricity demand is expected over the next three years to reach 3,500 TWh by 2027. This will add consumption equivalent to Japan’s every year, thanks to the expansion of electricity use in industrial production, air conditioning, transport or data storage and artificial intelligence."
