At Iberdrola, we support our customers in developing an energy electrification strategy tailored to their needs. We do this through solutions for electricity supply, heating and cooling, electric mobility and solar self-consumption, alongside decarbonisation and carbon offsetting solutions that deliver both high-quality service and environmental responsibility.
For more than 25 years, we have led electrification through renewable generation. Thanks to our financial strength and diversified project portfolio, we guarantee the supply of 100% renewable energy with Guarantees of Origin (GoO), through stable and transparent contracting models for industrial, commercial and residential customers. This approach has made us the energy company with the highest number of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) signed in the European market for the third consecutive year. It also drives us to develop new solutions that respond to rapidly growing electricity demand.

Electricity solutions for smart homes and businesses
At Iberdrola, we are supporting our customers with the challenge of electrifying their demand while promoting more responsible and sustainable consumption. To achieve this, we are going beyond traditional electricity plans. We design comprehensive and innovative solutions that help customers make better decisions and simplify their daily lives.
Through our strong commitment to digitalisation and by placing people at the centre of everything we do, we have developed a platform of tools that promote energy savings and efficiency. These tools help transform homes and small businesses into smart environments, which are more connected and data-driven when making consumption decisions.
We therefore cover all energy needs, from electric mobility to solar self-consumption, including heating and cooling solutions, enabling customers to electrify their consumption using renewable and environmentally friendly sources while taking control of their energy management.
PPA: structuring long-term energy agreements
Long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) are one of the key products for large consumers. They enable customers to secure a long-term supply of renewable energy at a pre-agreed and competitive price. At Iberdrola, we continue to expand our project portfolio to deliver clean energy at stable prices.
Our Strategic Plan 2025-2028 includes forecasts for energy sales during the period, supported by partnerships with companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Mercedes-Benz and Renault, among others.

Electrification of demand:
Mobility and thermal efficiency
Energy demand continues to grow every year, making the development of technologies that support electrification essential to achieving decarbonisation. At Iberdrola, we have designed a range of products to help customers transform their consumption towards more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly alternatives.
Public and private charging infrastructure for electric mobility
Iberdrola has an extensive network of public charging points to drive the electrification of transport. It also offers comprehensive turnkey solutions for businesses and individuals wishing to install their own charging infrastructure, including installation, management and operation through our app.
Distributed generation: solar self-consumption and energy communities
Solar self-consumption solutions promote energy independence and enable surplus energy management, generating savings for buildings where they are installed. In this way, we are supporting the development of solar communities, which can also become active participants in the energy system.
Aerothermal energy and efficient heating and cooling technologies
We are promoting aerothermal energy as an alternative to traditional gas or diesel boilers. This technology is based on thermodynamic efficiency, extracting energy from the outside air to heat or cool spaces. It ensures thermal comfort while increasing property value through improved energy efficiency ratings.
Industrial energy services and carbon consultancy
All industries can undertake electrification processes to reduce emissions. In addition to renewable electricity supply, there are technologies to store and reuse heat for power generation or space conditioning. Emissions can also be offset through carbon offsetting projects integrated into a company’s energy strategy.
Carbon footprint management and sustainability strategies
Reducing and offsetting carbon emissions has become a priority for industry. Integrating new electricity sources, adopting resource-optimisation technologies and implementing offsetting strategies are key steps towards a decarbonised and efficient industrial model.
Engineering for the electrification of thermal processes
Replacing fossil-based heating systems with high-efficiency electric technologies, such as industrial heat pumps and electric boilers, is key to significantly reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
Carbon markets and offsetting solutions
Through Carbon2Nature, we manage carbon credits with the highest standards of rigour and transparency. We develop Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) projects that meet the most demanding certification standards in the market, such as Verra and Gold Standard. These projects provide companies with a reliable and high-integrity pathway to offset residual emissions that are difficult to eliminate.
Digitalisation and customer ecosystem
Customer experience (CX) is at the core of our digital transformation. We have built a robust digital ecosystem –integrating our apps and Customer Area– which acts as an intuitive control hub. From here, we manage more than 38 million supply points, enabling users to monitor and manage their products and consumption in a simple, integrated and autonomous way.
Continuous innovation is part of our daily activity. In 2025, €425 million was invested in R&D&I to drive technological development. In addition to innovating across our generation, transmission and distribution infrastructure, Iberdrola is at the forefront of using big data and artificial intelligence to enhance its services.
We are also leading the adoption of AI to digitalise our solutions ecosystem, making it easier for customers to use and enabling more personalised advice on energy consumption. In addition, we have launched a generative AI project certified under the international ISO/IEC 42001 standard, awarded by AENOR, with the aim of streamlining administrative tasks so that our teams can focus on what matters most: creating value in the energy sector.
