Baltic Hub: the largest offshore wind complex in the Baltic Sea

The Baltic Hub complex brings together Iberdrola's three offshore wind farms in the German Baltic Sea: Wikinger, Baltic Eagle and Windanker. Together, they form one of the company's largest offshore wind complexes, driving renewable electricity generation and contributing to the advancement of electrification across Europe.

Baltic Hub offshore wind complex
The Baltic Hub complex consolidates Iberdrola's presence in Germany's offshore wind sector. The three wind farms that make up the complex, located near the island of Rügen in the Baltic Sea, have been developed progressively with the aim of increasing the Group's renewable generation capacity in Europe.
With the Wikinger and Baltic Eagle offshore wind farms coming into operation in 2017 and 2024 respectively, and Windanker due to be added in the coming months, Baltic Hub will become the largest offshore wind complex in the Baltic Sea. With more than 1.1 GW of combined installed capacity, its three wind farms will be able to supply renewable electricity to more than one million households and contribute to Germany's electrification and decarbonisation targets.
In addition to increasing renewable generation capacity, Baltic Hub is emerging as a renewable energy hub in the Baltic Sea. It will serve as an offshore and onshore services centre, providing local support for Iberdrola's projects in Germany and across the Baltic Sea region.
