Vineyard Wind offshore wind farm in the U.S.
Iberdrola's subsidiary in the United States, Avangrid, has obtained the final environmental impact statement from the country's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) for the development of a new offshore wind facility, New England Wind.
The area, which lies about 20 nautical miles south of Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, has the potential to install 2,000 MW of clean, reliable energy, enough to power a million homes and businesses in the area.
