European Commissioner Thierry Breton meets with Ignacio Galán at Iberdrola's Innovation and Training Campus

The European Commissioner for Industry, Thierry Breton, visited Iberdrola's Innovation and Training Campus in San Agustín del Guadalix, Madrid. In the current energy context, Breton spoke with the company's Executive Chairman, Ignacio Galán, about the measures and innovations needed to promote the deployment of renewable energies, grids, energy storage and green hydrogen in order to reduce Europe's external dependence. 

The Executive Chairman of Iberdrola showed the European Commissioner the facilities of the Iberdrola Campus, where more than 13,000 people receive training each year in technological and technical aspects related to electricity, management and other subjects such as health and safety.

In the Assembly Hall they attended the explanation given to a group of young people with cognitive difficulties about the different sources of electricity generation. In the Accelerator Room they discovered innovative projects, such as the Global Smart Grids Innovation Hub's fault detection robot. And in the training workshops they visited the employees' courses before signing the book of honor.
