Iberdrola generates enough electricity to supply 2.6 million US households

Avangrid, the Iberdrola Group's US subsidiary, generated a total of 13,891 GWh of electricity in the first half of 2026, enough energy to supply more than 2.6 million US households. This represents an 8% increase compared with the same period last year.

The growth recorded in the first half of the year reflects both strong performance from existing assets and the addition of new renewable capacity in recent months. The most recent facilities include the Bakeoven Solar, Daybreak Solar and Tower Solar projects, all in Oregon, which add to other projects previously completed in states such as California, Ohio and Texas.

In addition to exceeding 11 GW of installed capacity from nearly 100 operational facilities across much of the country, Avangrid's onshore projects generated $61 million in local tax revenues in 2025, supporting public services such as education and public safety.
