Iberdrola is the highest-ranked Spanish company among the world's best employers in 2026, according to the list compiled by business magazine Forbes in partnership with research firm Statista. It leads the Spanish companies featured, ahead of BBVA, Repsol, Acciona, Amadeus IT Group, Santander, ACS and Grupo Saica.
The gap is particularly significant compared with other major Spanish companies: Iberdrola ranks more than 250 places ahead of Repsol and more than 350 places ahead of Acciona, while Santander, ACS and Grupo Saica are ranked more than 600 places lower.
The study, titled World's Best Employers 2026, is based on the opinions of more than 300,000 employees across more than 50 countries. It assesses aspects of the employee experience, including pay, career development opportunities, work-life balance and company reputation.
The ranking features a total of 900 companies, with just eight Spanish businesses represented and Iberdrola leading the way.
