Iberdrola recognised in Spain for its leadership in energy storage at the 2026 RENMAD Awards

Iberdrola España, a subsidiary of the Iberdrola Group in Spain, has been named Energy Storage Developer of the Year at the 2026 RENMAD Awards.

Held in Seville, these awards recognise the Group’s role in developing key energy storage solutions and its contribution to the transition towards a more sustainable energy system.

With this recognition, Iberdrola España further strengthens its position as a benchmark in the development of energy solutions that enhance system stability and support a cleaner, more efficient energy model.

This leadership is underpinned by the Group’s strategic planning, which includes an investment of €1.5 billion in storage between 2025 and 2028, as well as the advancement of major projects backed by European and national funding programmes.
