Ignacio Galán, with the King of Spain, at the 7th La Toja-Atlantic Link Forum

Ignacio Galán attended the opening ceremony of the 7th La Toja-Atlantic Link Forum, inaugurated by King Felipe VI. This event, held on La Toja island, in Pontevedra (north-west Spain), is an internationally renowned gathering, conceived as a space for reflection and debate on the fundamental values of democratic societies, the challenges of the global economy and strategic changes on the international stage.

Created in 2019, this forum has established itself as a benchmark for global public conversation under the guiding principle of defending values such as individual freedom, equality, human dignity and the separation of powers as well as the social market economy and social solidarity.

This year’s forum has honoured the so-called 'fathers of the Spanish Constitution' – the seven men responsible for drafting the current constitutional text – in the persons of Miguel Herrero y Rodríguez de Miñón and Miquel Roca i Junyent for their contribution to democracy and progress.
