The Atapuerca Foundation has honoured Iberdrola’s Executive Chairman, Ignacio Galán, with the Evolution Award for Human Values, a recognition that highlights his contribution to social progress and the promotion of initiatives aligned with the principles of human development and sustainability.
The award was announced by the president of the Atapuerca Foundation, Antonio Miguel Méndez Pozo, during the organisation’s Board of Trustees meeting, at which the other winners for this year were also revealed. Alongside Sánchez Galán, Queen Mother Sofía has been honoured with the Emiliano Aguirre Prize, whilst the anthropologist Carlos Peretto will receive the Prize for Scientific Achievement.
The awarding of the Evolution and Human Values Prize to Galán reinforces the link between the Atapuerca Foundation and those figures whose professional careers have helped to promote the values of progress, social commitment and sustainable development – pillars that the institution considers fundamental to the evolution of society.
