The distribution businesses of ScottishPower, a subsidiary of the Iberdrola Group in the United Kingdom, ScottishPower Energy Networks (SPEN) and ScottishPower Electricity North West (SP ENW), have ranked first and second, respectively, in the reliability assessment carried out by the energy regulator Ofgem (Office of Gas and Electricity Markets).
Ofgem’s annual report evaluates individual distribution network operators (DNOs) across a range of areas, including reliability, customer service, environmental performance, innovation and expenditure.
Both companies also ranked among the top three for customer satisfaction, including support for vulnerable customers, reflecting their strong performance and continued improvement. SPEN and SP ENW plan to invest more than £5 billion in electricity networks across the region between 2023 and 2028, with the aim of continuing to deliver a modern, resilient and reliable electricity network for their customers and communities.
