Avangrid extends power purchase agreement with Xcel Energy for MinnDakota wind farm

Avangrid extends power purchase agreement with Xcel Energy for MinnDakota wind farm Avangrid, a subsidiary of the Iberdrola Group in the United States, has extended its long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Xcel Energy for electricity produced by the 150 MW MinnDakota wind farm, located on the border between Minnesota and South Dakota.

MinnDakota will thus continue to supply electricity to the US utility holding company and enable it to continue providing renewable wind energy to customers in the region.

The facility has helped to supply energy to thousands of homes and businesses, contributing to the local community by creating jobs and funding various public services through tax revenues.

Avangrid has 10 generation plants in the states of Minnesota and South Dakota with a combined installed capacity of 900 MW.
