Avangrid strengthens collaboration with suppliers to build the network of the future

Avangrid, Iberdrola Group’s US subsidiary, has brought together suppliers and strategic partners for a new edition of its Supplier Day, an event aimed at strengthening collaboration across its supply chain and recognising their contribution to developing safer, more resilient and more innovative energy infrastructure.

Held under the slogan Stronger Together: Celebrating Collaboration & Building the Grid of Tomorrow, the event highlighted the role of suppliers in responding to growing energy demand and advancing the construction and modernisation of electricity networks. It also provided an opportunity to share experiences and strengthen relationships with companies that supply materials, services and specialist expertise to Avangrid’s different business areas.

The company maintains long-term relationships with its suppliers and spends more than €4.4 billion a year on goods and services, which are essential to its operations and for the development of new energy infrastructure across the United States.

During Supplier Day, Avangrid also recognised the work of six supplier companies for their performance in areas such as health and safety, emergency response, technological innovation, community impact and their overall contribution to the company.

Through the event, Avangrid reaffirmed the importance of collaboration with its suppliers as a key factor in developing the infrastructure needed to meet future energy needs, ensure a reliable electricity supply and continue modernising its networks.
