Avangrid surpasses 500 MW of new energy infrastructure installed in 2026

Avangrid, the Iberdrola Group’s US subsidiary, has surpassed 500 MW of new electricity infrastructure installed or energised so far in 2026.

Key milestones include the completion of solar panel installation at Oregon Trail Solar, a 57 MW solar PV plant in Oregon that is due to enter commercial operation in 2027. The plant will have the capacity to supply electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of around 10,000 homes. The project adds to Tower Solar, a 166 MW facility completed this year that has boosted local employment and solar component manufacturing in the United States.

Avangrid’s project portfolio continues to grow, with new facilities under development, including Osagrove Flats (153 MW) and Juniper Canyon (136 MW). This progress is also reflected in the company’s energy production, which reached 13,891 GWh in the first half of 2026, an increase of 8% compared with the same period last year.

Through these investments, the company continues to contribute to the Iberdrola Group’s growth and electrification objectives, strengthening its capacity to meet growing energy demand and support sustainable economic development in the regions where it operates.
