Fundación Iberdrola España, the charitable arm of Iberdrola España, a subsidiary of the Iberdrola Group in Spain, and Fundación Empieza Por Educar are renewing their partnership for the eighth consecutive year to support the STEM4Girls programme. The initiative aims to encourage scientific and technological careers among girls and young women from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Under the agreement, Fundación Iberdrola España will provide €50,000 in funding for five scholarships for female STEM graduates or final-year students. Over a two-year period, scholarship recipients will take part in Fundación Empieza Por Educar’s educational leadership programme, teaching at schools in socially vulnerable areas and helping to expand opportunities for pupils while bringing science and technology closer to girls through practical and innovative activities.
The programme combines specialised training, personalised mentoring and hands-on classroom experience, with the aim of preparing a new generation of teachers who can make a positive impact on the education system.
The initiative reinforces the Iberdrola Group’s commitment to education, equal opportunities and the development of talent in key areas driving electrification and innovation.
