Iberdrola reinforces its commitment to local communities in the US with over €52 million in tax contributions

Avangrid, Iberdrola’s subsidiary in the United States, contributed more than €52 million in tax revenue from its facilities in 2025, helping to support the delivery of public services and infrastructure development in the regions where it operates.

With a presence in 25 states and over 11 gigawatts of installed capacity, Avangrid plays a key role in ensuring electricity supply amid rising demand, while also generating a direct economic impact at both local and regional levels.

These contributions help fund, among other areas, educational institutions, public investment projects and essential services such as roads, emergency services, libraries and community facilities, while also helping to reduce the tax burden on residents.

In addition to its fiscal impact, Avangrid strengthens its social contribution through community support initiatives. In 2025, it allocated more than $200,000 to over 80 non-profit organisations across 20 states through its Community Sponsorship programme. Furthermore, the Avangrid Foundation awarded more than $3.1 million in grants to 73 organisations.
