Iberdrola, the only Spanish company among the 10 best corporate websites in Europe

  • The ranking, produced each year by the international consultancy Comprend, classifies the websites of Europe’s 500 largest companies according to their transparency, functionality and accessibility

Iberdrola has positioned itself as the only Spanish company on the list of the 10 best corporate websites in Europe, according to the Webranking 2025-2026 report from the international consultancy Comprend. This study, a benchmark in corporate digital communication, ranks 500 companies after analysing more than 600 companies across Europe.

What’s more, Iberdrola’s website has been recognised as the best corporate website in Spain for the second year running. Europe’s largest electricity company and one of the two largest in the world by stock market value achieved 87.3 out of 100 points, representing a 10% increase on the previous edition and more than 95% compared with 2020.

This progress reflects Iberdrola’s commitment to transparency, high-quality information and accessibility. At the European level, this improvement has enabled the Group to climb nine places in the Europe 500 list, reaching number six.

The Group’s website (www.iberdrola.com) stands out with performance close to or above 90% in most of the 10 sections that make up the ranking, never dropping below 70%. This exceptional performance places Iberdrola ahead of its competitors.

The homepage and the Sustainability section score almost the highest possible points, closely followed by Corporate governance, Careers and Shareholders and investors, all with strong results.

As highlighted in the Webranking 2025–2026 report, “the website offers a complete and easy-to-use experience that responds effectively to stakeholder needs”.

As strengths, the study identifies the progress in transparency within the Governance section, which places Iberdrola in a strong position compared to its peers and aligns it with the growing expectations of stakeholders. It also highlights the strength of its employer brand, communication regarding recruitment and the continuous improvement in the Sustainability section, which shows how the company integrates these aspects into its strategy and responds effectively to related information needs.

A benchmark for stakeholders

Through its Webranking, Comprend conducts a comparative analysis of the corporate websites of 638 European companies selected by market capitalisation in the Stoxx All Europe 800 index.

This ranking is a key indicator of transparency and the only one based on the expectations of the main stakeholder groups in areas such as financial reporting, corporate governance, investor relations, sustainability and employer branding.

Every year since 1997, the consultancy has surveyed analysts, investors, journalists and jobseekers, among others, to understand what they expect from a corporate website. Their responses define the evaluation criteria for the index, which includes a total of 264 measurement parameters.
