Neoenergia, Iberdrola Group’s Brazilian subsidiary, has been recognised in three categories at the 2026 Aberje Awards, one of Brazil’s leading corporate communications awards.
The company won awards in the Consumer/Customer, Diversity and Inclusion and Event categories in the North and Northeast regions, for three initiatives linked to safety, promoting women’s sport and the energy transition.
In the Consumer/Customer category, Neoenergia was recognised for an initiative that uses music and Brazilian culture to raise awareness of electricity network safety during large-scale celebrations such as Carnival and the São João festivals.
The Diversity and Inclusion award went to the Acredite na sua energia (Believe in your own power) campaign, which focuses on strengthening women’s presence and visibility in sport and inspiring future generations.
Finally, Neoenergia was recognised in the Event category for the presentation of Mais por Noronha, an initiative to advance the electrification of the Fernando de Noronha archipelago. The project involves an investment of 350 million Brazilian reais and the installation of more than 30,000 solar panels, alongside battery storage systems, electric mobility and smart meters, with the aim of moving towards a more sustainable energy model on the island.
