Iberdrola Italia inaugurates a new photovoltaic plant

Iberdrola Italia, Iberdrola's international business company in Italy, inaugurates its third photovoltaic plant in Tarquinia (Italy) with the aim of boosting the production of clean energy to promote the industrial electrification of the country.

With a capacity of 33 MW and a production of around 50 GWh of solar energy per year, supplied by the 50,000 photovoltaic panels installed, the new plant will meet the needs equivalent to the consumption of 18,000 families, avoiding the emission into the atmosphere of more than 15,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.

This new facility is a clear example of Iberdrola's commitment to biodiversity and integration with the environment, including in the project the planting of an olive grove with 1,350 olive trees, which will provide additional income to local communities.
