Iberdrola ratifies its commitment to France, where it will invest 4 billion euros in the next four years

Iberdrola group chairman Ignacio Galán met with French President Emmanuel Macron this morning during the Choose France forum. Macron talked about the country’s recovery plans, which focus mainly on the energy transition and digitalisation, strategic areas it shares with Iberdrola, a fact recognised by Galán.

The chairman of the company reiterated the group's commitment to France, where it foresees investing 4 billion euros in the next four years. Among the main projects planned for the country is the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm where it is investing 2.4 billion euros, and achieving additional growth in renewables derived from the acquisition of Aalto Power, which has 700 MW of wind and photovoltaic capacity in development.
