For the thirteenth consecutive year, Iberdrola is positioned as one of the most ethical companies in the world, according to the World's Most Ethical Companies 2026 ranking, prepared by the Ethisphere Institute, an international benchmark in standards of good business practices and compliance.

In addition, it is the only Spanish energy company and one of the five companies in the world in the Energy and Utilities category included in the ranking. This recognition also extends to its US subsidiary, Avangrid, which appears for the eighth consecutive year in this index.

The 2026 edition of the ranking distinguishes 138 companies spanning 17 countries and 40 industries, selected after a rigorous evaluation process. With this milestone, Iberdrola and Avangrid consolidate a sustained track record of leadership in corporate ethics and good governance within the energy sector. Iberdrola has been part of the list since 2014 and Avangrid since 2019, reflecting the Group's continued commitment to the highest principles of integrity and responsible management.

Since 2007, the Ethisphere Institute has recognized organizations that drive a positive evolution of the global business fabric, addressing the impact of their activity on employees, customers and other stakeholders, and promoting a culture of integrity and values by integrating ethics into both daily decision-making and long-term strategy.

The evaluation process is based on Ethisphere's Ethics Quotient® and analyzes more than 240 indicators related to corporate governance, leadership and reputation, compliance systems, ethical culture, risk management, social and environmental impact, and third-party relations. This analysis is completed by a qualitative review by an international panel of experts.

In addition to the current recognition, Iberdrola has other relevant distinctions in the field of compliance, such as the Compliance Leader Verification certification from the Ethisphere Institute, which recognises an internal culture and leadership aimed at promoting ethical values in the development of its businesses; the first position for the third consecutive year in the IBEX 35 Compliance 2025 transparency ranking, prepared by the Haz Foundation, and the award for Ibex 35 Company with best practices in Compliance at the Compliance Awards of the financial newspaper Expansión.

Iberdrola's Governance and Sustainability System is based on a commitment to ethical principles, transparency and leadership in the application of international best practices, and is articulated through a solid Compliance System designed to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and prevent irregular conduct of any nature.
