Neoenergia launches initiative to bring artificial intelligence to public education in Brazil

Instituto Neoenergia, the social arm of Iberdrola Group’s Brazilian subsidiary, has created Diáspora Tech, a project designed to train educators and educational staff in artificial intelligence, critical thinking and digital equity.

Developed in collaboration with Obará Edutech, the project reinforces the Group’s commitment to an inclusive digital transformation capable of creating opportunities and contributing to community development.

Through a series of training sessions, the initiative aims to help participants understand the impact of artificial intelligence in education and apply this technology in a critical, ethical and responsible manner within the school environment.

Topics covered include data usage, algorithmic bias, information integrity, digital ethics and the role of technology in reducing inequalities.

The project forms part of the Iberdrola Group’s broader commitment to innovation, inclusion and talent development, promoting the responsible use of artificial intelligence as a tool to expand opportunities and strengthen education.
