We reinforce our social contribution
Iberdrola's group commitment to society materialises in actions in support of the community, art & culture,environment and innovation, all of which make up its 'social dividend'. In 2019, Iberdrola invested 52.3 million euros in projects to benefit the community.
The main principles and general framework of action to manage the corporate social responsibility practices that the Iberdrola group assumes are set out in the General Sustainable Development Policy.
Community activities in conjunction with Government and civil society form a large part of Iberdrola's group commitment to the community. Since Iberdrola group was established, it has been committed to the energy, cultural and social development of the communities in which it operates. Our commitment to the economic, social and cultural development is supported through its foundations.
Artistic, historical and cultural heritage
The Iberdrola group's International Corporate Volunteering Program is an initiative created to channel our employees' spirit of solidarity and to encourage their participation in social projects aimed at integrating vulnerable groups into society, improving the environment and sustainable development.
The Iberdrola group collaborates with public administrations, different institutions and NGO to facilitate access to energy for economically disadvantaged people through a procedure to protect customers in a situation of vulnerability (social bonus).
