A la hora de elegir un aparato de aire acondicionado debemos tener en cuenta el uso que le queramos dar.
Hay cientos de modelos en el mercado, pero ¿cómo elegir un buen aire acondicionado? Acertar es muy sencillo: tan solo tienes que seguir las siguientes recomendaciones:
TIPOS DE APARATOS DE AIRE ACONDICIONADO
Hay tres modelos principales:
- Climatizador por evaporación de agua: es económico y consume muy poco —unos 150 vatios— pero apenas refresca el ambiente: entre 4 y 6 grados.
- Aire acondicionado portátil: se puede trasladar a cualquier parte, aunque no son muy potentes. Tienen un tubo que hay que sacar por la ventana para expulsar el aire caliente.
- Aire acondicionado fijo (mural split): el más potente y eficiente, consta de dos unidades: un compresor a instalar en el exterior y una casette interior anclada a la pared de la habitación.
¿QUIERES CLIMATIZAR UNA HABITACIÓN O TODA LA CASA?
Deberás optar por los siguientes sistemas de aire acondicionado en función de si quieres climatizar varias habitaciones o toda la casa:
- Si la casa está dotada con conductos para el aire, instala un sistema de conducto.
- Si no, opta por varios mural split o un multi split.
¿QUÉ POTENCIA ES NECESARIA?
Lo más sencillo es fijarse en la ficha técnica del aparato, ya que indicará los metros cuadrados que es capaz de refrigerar.
Para calcular la potencia necesaria en frigorías —la unidad de medida del frío—, mide el largo, ancho y alto de la sala y multiplica las tres cifras. Ya tienes los metros cúbicos de volumen a refrigerar. Ahora multiplica por 50 para obtener las frigorías. Finalmente, para calcular la potencia necesaria en vatios, multiplica las frigorías por 1,163.
- UN EJEMPLO SENCILLO
- Habitación de 6x4 metros, con 2,5 metros de altura:
- 6 x 4 x 2,5 = 60 m3 / 60 x 50 = 3.000 frigorías
- 3.000 x 1,163 = 3.489 W
CONSEJOS PARA ELEGIR UN BUEN APARATO DE AIRE ACONDICIONADO
- Elige un aparato con más potencia de la necesaria según estos cálculos: lo agradecerás los días de más calor o cuando haya invitados en casa.
- Fíjate en la etiqueta energética y elige los de categoría A, los más eficientes. Su coste es algo superior, pero se compensa sobradamente con el ahorro en el consumo de energía durante su vida útil. Ten presente que el aire acondicionado puede llegar a suponer hasta el 10% del consumo total del hogar.
Eficiencia energética¿HACEN MUCHO RUIDO?
De nuevo, fíjate en la etiqueta energética. El nivel de rumorosidad aceptable es de 20 a 25 decibelios.
¿QUIÉN LO INSTALA?
Debe ser un técnico especializado. Ten presente que se trata de una operación muy compleja. No te olvides de preguntar por el precio de la instalación antes de comprar el aparato.
