The new transmission line between Quebec and Maine will provide 1,200 megawatts (MW) of renewable hydroelectric power to the New England power grid in Lewiston, Maine, sufficient to meet the demand of 1.2 million homes. The state of Connecticut will have a new offshore wind farm now that Iberdrola has been awarded the Park City Wind project. The 804 MW wind farm will supply 14 percent of the state's electricity and avoid emitting more than 25 million tonnes of carbon.

Iberdrola, through Avangrid Power, is participating in the development of an offshore wind farm close to the Outer Banks, off the Virginia and North Carolina coasts (USA). The wind farm will have a total estimated installed capacity of 3,500 MW and will provide 700,000 households with clean energy.
Iberdrola, through its subsidiary Avangrid, is constructing the first large-scale offshore wind energy facility in the United States, located off the coast of the state of Massachusetts. This facility, which has already achieved first power, will eventually have a total capacity of 806 megawatts (MW), producing enough clean energy for over 400,000 homes.
