Participation for Ultimate Beneficial Owners
Iberdrola enables ultimate beneficial owners to exercise their voting rights, collect gifts and participate in the draw, just like shareholders.
Individuals who receive the dividends and determine how the voting rights are to be exercised are deemed the ultimate beneficial owners of the shares, when the shareholder or registered holder merely acts as an intermediary in the interest and on behalf of such beneficiary.
In order to promote their engagement, Iberdrola hands the same participation channels to ultimate beneficial owners who are natural persons, as those offered to shareholders, once provided that their intermediary institutions have granted them representation for this General Meeting and have supplied the Company with the corresponding identification details for this purpose.
Accordingly, ultimate beneficial owners will be able to collect the commemorative gift at the service points and participate in the draw under the same conditions as shareholders.
