Fighting against cancer, combating gender violence or violence against women, campaigns to fight childhood maladies... We put on the table social action initiatives to support people who are suffering, having into account their integration and their quality of life.

The Tokyo Olympics were held from 23 July to 8 August 2021, after a one-year delay due to the pandemic. Meanwhile, the Paralympic Games took place 15 days later: from 25 August to 5 September. Iberdrola, which has been promoting Spanish sport for more than two decades, is now supporting the Olympic athletes in their race to Paris 2024.
Iberdrola carries out its activities in order to create sustainable value for all Stakeholders: we call it our social dividend. That's why we include in our strategy the three internationally accepted areas for measuring impact and sustainability in investments: environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, as a substantial contribution to sustainable development.
- Facebook We have made environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors intrinsic to our responsible management
- Twitter We have made environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors intrinsic to our responsible management

More than two decades ago, Iberdrola paved the way towards clean energy and took the first steps towards a more sustainable and responsible energy model. Now, the company is also paving the way to equality through sport. We have been promoting women's sport for years as a way of improving the recognition of women in society and promoting their empowerment and autonomy.
At the Iberdrola Group, we contribute to society by creating wealth and social development. Along these lines, we promote effective equality between men and women in access to employment, training, promotion, and working conditions. We also provide support to workers with disabilities, facilitating labour integration and we promote diversity and social inclusion of vulnerable groups.

Approximately 10% of the world's population, namely around 650 million people, suffer from some form of disability (UN). This figure will only increase due to demographic growth and the ageing population. The transport industry is working hard to ensure their mobility is not a further limitation.
Iberdrola has focused on all its Stakeholders to manage the COVID-19 crisis. The incidence of the disease among group employees is far lower than the averages in the countries where it operates. AENOR has recognised this and granted the company the first global coronavirus management certificate.
