As a result of the STAR Project (Remote Network Management and Automation System), with an investment of €2 billion, more than 11.4 million intelligent meters have been installed and provide remote management and automation capabilities to more than 90,000 transformation centres.
Iberdrola has commissioned the El Puntal II wind farm, located in the municipality of Sierra de las Yeguas, in Málaga. This facility has the most powerful and largest wind turbines in Spain and, with its 15 MW, will prevent the emission of 6,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere and will supply clean energy to around 12,500 homes.

Iberdrola, through its Brazilian subsidiary Neoenergia*, has built the Chafariz wind farm complex in northeast Brazil, one of the company's largest wind power generation projects in the country and in Latin America. The new complex consists of 15 wind farms with a total installed power of more than 471.25 megawatts (MW), the new development was fully operation from January in 2022.
The Wikinger offshore wind farm marked Iberdrola's entry into the German electricity market, where the construction of two other offshore wind farms is underway: Baltic Eagle (476 MW) and Wikinger Süd (10 MW). The sum of these three projects, all located next to the island of Rügen, make up the largest offshore wind complex in the Baltic Sea.

Iberdrola Group, through its subsidiary ScottishPower Renewables, has put into operation what is now the largest wind farm in its history and one of the world's largest of its kind: the East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm in British waters in the North Sea
Iberdrola has installed one of its photovoltaic projects in Castilla y León (Spain), a new wind farm and photovoltaic plant in Villarino, which adds 50 MW of green energy to its portfolio. Once the infrastructure is up and running, it generates enough clean energy to power the equivalent of 27,000 homes and avoid emitting 12,000 tons of CO₂/year into the atmosphere.
