Neoenergia Institute ensuring cultural preservation in Rio Grande do Norte with 2025 Cultural Enlightenment Programme

The Neoenergia Institute, a foundation of Iberdrola's subsidiary in Brazil, offers a series of educational activities focused on promoting cultural heritage, with the support of educators and specialists, concentrating on the history of the city of Potiguar and its cultural landmarks. Thanks to these activities, more than 300 students and teachers from municipal public schools in Mossoró, a city in Rio Grande do Norte, are learning a little bit more about the importance of preserving the historical and cultural heritage of one of their greatest local symbols: the Lauro da Escóssia Historical Museum.

The aim of these activities is to preserve collective memory, strengthening local residents' connection with their identity through interesting facts about the museum's collection and local historical figures.

Created in 2015 by the Neoenergia Institute, the Cultural Lighting Programme is now in its 8th year. Its aim is to contribute to the conservation and preservation of the country's most emblematic buildings, showcasing their historical legacy.
