Neoenergia and Nexus Ligas sign 10-year wind energy self-production agreement

Neoenergia, Iberdrola's subsidiary in Brazil, and Nexus Ligas have just announced an agreement under which they will become partners in the Canoas 3 wind farm, which is part of the Neoenergia Chafariz wind complex located in the state of Paraíba in north-eastern Brazil.

This long-term power purchase agreement (PPA), signed under the self-production of energy modality, will be in place for 10 years. With this, Nexus secures access to 31 MW of renewable energy produced by the farm, enough to cover 27% of its current demand.

Neoenergia Chafariz is part of the Neoenergia Renewable Complex, which has an installed capacity of 471.25 MW, enough to supply 1.3 million homes a year.
