Iberdrola advances the development of East Anglia THREE with a new operational facility in Lowestoft

ScottishPower Renewables, part of the subsidiary of the Iberdrola Group in the UK, has unveiled the initial design for a new operations and maintenance (O&M) base for the East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm, a key strategic project in the UK’s offshore wind sector.

The facility, with a planned investment of more than €9 million, will be located at PowerPark in Lowestoft (East Suffolk), further strengthening the Group’s industrial presence in the region.

The base will be wholly owned by ScottishPower Renewables, contributing to local job creation and the development of skills linked to the operation of offshore wind farms.

The new facility will complement the existing East Anglia ONE base at the Port of Lowestoft, which was inaugurated in 2019 and operates under a 30-year lease. It will support the rollout of East Anglia THREE in the southern North Sea.

This project forms part of the Iberdrola Group’s broader commitment to electrification, the advancement of clean energy, and economic development in the communities where it operates.
