- During the celebration of B Acceleration Week at BAT -B Accelerator Tower-, the company launched this challenge focused on power grids and aimed at startups within the framework of its PERSEO programme.
BAT B Accelerator Tower in Bilbao, a benchmark centre for corporate innovation and entrepreneurship in Bizkaia, hosted a new edition of B Acceleration Week, an international event designed to create meeting points and collaborations between the local corporate ecosystem and entrepreneurs in the region, as well as startups offering innovative solutions at a global level.
In this context, with the presence of the leading corporations in Bizkaia, the participation of over 100 startups, and more than 300 guests, Iberdrola revealed its new challenge focused on power grids and aimed at startups.
This challenge aims to improve the resilience of the distribution grid by anticipating extreme weather events and minimising their impact on customers through the use of advanced computing techniques. It is part of its PERSEO programme, which seeks to facilitate the Group’s access to future technologies while promoting the development of a global ecosystem of startups in the energy sector with a focus on sustainability. The tool was created with the purpose of introducing innovation into the company through various programmes and facilitating its potential application in tangible business cases that generate significant value for Iberdrola and its stakeholders.
