- Iberdrola’s Chief Executive Officer, Pedro Azagra, expressed his gratitude for their dedication and effort, and highlighted the importance of inspiring younger generations with that commitment and work ethic
Iberdrola España has completed the series of tributes to its veteran and retired professionals at the Iberdrola Campus in San Agustín del Guadalix, following the events already held in the Valencia region, the Basque Country and Castile and León, which together accounted for around 500 recognitions.
The emotional event in Madrid was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of the Iberdrola Group, Pedro Azagra, who thanked the employees for their dedication and effort throughout all these years: “The real credit is yours. Everything that Iberdrola represents today is the result of the effort, commitment and talent you have contributed over decades. Behind every achievement of this company there are families and generations who have made it possible for us to be today the second largest company in the world in the sector by market capitalisation, with projects that are benchmarks at international level. The transition from being a Spanish company to becoming a global group has only been possible thanks to the leadership of our chairman and the excellent work of so many generations.”
Azagra, who also wanted to look to the future, concluded by saying: “Our duty now is to pass on that experience and sense of pride to the younger generations. I congratulate you on behalf of the chairman, the entire management team and myself. Thank you for continuing to be the pillar on which this great company stands. Let us continue to enjoy, with the same passion, the enormous project that we have built together.”
The honourees were also accompanied by Iberdrola executives, including the CEO of Iberdrola España, Mario Ruiz-Tagle.
