Neoenergia and the Federal Government of Brazil sign an agreement to provide 100% renewable energy to the Palace of Alvorada

Neoenergia, Iberdrola's subsidiary in Brazil, in partnership with the Federal Government of Brazil, and through the Civil House, the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), and the Presidency of the Republic, will begin this month the installation of a solar photovoltaic plant at the Palace of Alvorada, the official residence of the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

Since March 2021, Neoenergia has been implementing strategies to reduce the environmental impact of public buildings and promote the sustainable use of energy. Institutions such as the Federal Police, the Air Force, the Army, the University of Brasilia, and the Federal Supreme Court already have renewable energy generation systems in place. New partnerships are planned for 2025, including with the National Justice Council.
