Global Mobility Call 2024
Global Mobility Call 2024 was held at the IFEMA Madrid exhibition centre from 19 to 21 November 2024.
What is the Global Mobility Call?
Global Mobility Call
is the first cross-cutting and inclusive event with the aim of building the new Sustainable Mobility Ecosystem, connecting the main international players for the development of new business models and public-private initiatives. A congress, organised by IFEMA Madrid and Smobhub, which seeks to make up for the lack of leadership in sustainable mobility at European level and to position itself as External link, opens in new window..
Institutional and corporate leaders from the global sustainable mobility ecosystem take part in this meeting in the Spanish capital, which brings together representatives from the sector and whose agenda integrates technological, social, economic, environmental and regulatory content for a cross-cutting and harmonised vision.
An important objective of this integrative meeting is to promote growth and the creation of new business models through participation in European public-private partnership projects, within the context of the European Recovery Plan. Iberdrola is currently the energy partner of three major projects presented in this line to the Next Generation funds for the development of the Electric and Connected Vehicle: the PERTE VEC.
In its 2024 edition, the event brought together more than 8,000 people, consolidating its position as a benchmark event that continues to grow year after year and demonstrating its strong drawing power and impact.
Iberdrola on the agenda of the Global Mobility Call 2024
Iberdrola, a key player in the development of sustainable mobility in Spain, consolidated its role as a strategic ally of Global Mobility Call 2024, the congress that positions sustainable mobility as the backbone of social and economic change, while also seeking solutions and strategies to make the sector more sustainable and achieve its decarbonisation targets. An essential event for stakeholders from all areas involved in this transformation, and one that the leading renewable energy company could not miss.
In addition to collaborating as a partner company in the organisation of the congress, Iberdrola had a large exhibition space where it showcased all its Smart solutions to make mobility a more sustainable sector, from home charging points to high-power charging points for public charging.
Iberdrola has the most extensive public charging network in Spain, with more than 10,000 charging points in operation by the end of 2025. On the private side, across its corporate and domestic networks – where it stands out for offering the most affordable tariff, enabling 1,000 km for €5 – it already has 40,000 charging points. In addition, Iberdrola facilitates the daily charging of more than 600 electric buses in Spain and Portugal.
In addition, various Iberdrola executives from the areas of Smart Mobility, Prospective Energy, Talent Acquisition, Home Charging and Strategic Agreements participated in the agenda of the Global Mobility Call 2024 to share their knowledge and professional experience..
