The Tokyo Olympics were held from 23 July to 8 August 2021, after a one-year delay due to the pandemic. Meanwhile, the Paralympic Games took place 15 days later: from 25 August to 5 September. Iberdrola, which has been promoting Spanish sport for more than two decades, is now supporting the Olympic athletes in their race to Paris 2024.
Iberdrola has collaborated with the ADOP Plan, the Spanish plan to support paralympians, since it was initially created in 2005. The plan aims to provide Spanish Paralympic athletes with the best possible conditions to train and achieve success in the Paralympic Games.

Iberdrola encourages its employees to donate food and essential goods. In 2023, 20,495 people participated in volunteering activities, such as supporting soup kitchens to feed families in need. Under our commitment to mitigate the COVID-19 health crisis, 90,000 meals have been prepared for people in vulnerable situations.
