22/04/2024Iberdrola launches 2024 Shareholder Month Iberdrola has investors at the centre of its strategy, and today it takes a further step in this direction inagurating the Shareholder Month ( mesdelaccionista.iberdrola.com ), an event that includes the 2024 General Shareholders' Meeting, to be held in Bilbao on 17 May. The leading European electricity company in terms of stock market value and one of the two largest in the world is today launching its virtual space, including thematic rooms. The mission is to ensure that shareholders are fully informed and participate in the General Meeting. The virtual rooms created for Shareholders Month will discuss topics relating to the environment, the social side of Iberdrola, its governance and financial matters. The content will be made available through interviews with executives and reports. Through this space, sharholders will have access to all documentation and will be able to participate in the General Shareholders' Meeting, which will have a hybrid format to attend - in person or remotely. Iberdrola offers a wide range of services to facilitate the participation of any investor, such as the Participation Portal ( https://votojunta.iberdrola.com/vejga/bienvenida/inicio.action ), telephone +34 900 100 019, e-mail (Junta2024@iberdrola.es ), WhatsApp ( +34 639 000 639), Telegram ( https://t.me/JuntaIberdrolaBot ), post office (P.O. Box 1.113, 48080 Bilbao) and the central securities depositories. Furthermore, as it does every year, Iberdrola will set up shareholder information desks in different cities where, between 8 and 16 May, shareholders can grant their proxy or vcast an absentee vote with their ID card, without having to carry their proxy and absentee voting card. Shareholders choosing these options to participate will receive a commemorative gift. In this line of participation incentive, shareholders who grant a proxy or cast an absentee vote (via our online and telephone channels) will also be able to enter a draw for 30 electric bicycles. A share with a higher dividend In addition, the company has proposed for the third consecutive year an engagement dividend of €0.005 per share (one euro gross for every 200 shares). If a quorum of at least 70% of the share capital is reached and the General Meeting approves this incentive, Iberdrola will pay this amount to all its shareholders entitled to participate. Iberdrola is the only Ibex 35 company that rewards its shareholders in this way. The involvement dividend is part of a concept of a more participatory, sustainable and unrestricted General Meeting. All shareholders can participate: they only need to have at least one share registered in their name on 10 May. All of these initiatives are part of a long history of innovation and shareholder involvement. Since 2012, Iberdrola has kept open the interactive channel OLA - On Line Shareholders, which functions as a "permanent meeting" where shareholders' questions are answered 365 days a year. In 2015, Iberdrola was a pioneer in holding a Shareholder Day, the purpose of which was to frame the General Shareholders' Meeting and other activities whereby shareholders could learn first-hand about Iberdrola Group's projects in a two-way and direct dialogue with its officers. Along the same lines, Iberdrola evolved the traditional Shareholder Day into Shareholder Week, which was introduced in 2022 in a virtual format. Since that year, the duration and contents of this virtual experience have been extended through Shareholder Month. READ MORE

12/04/2024Iberdrola's renewable energy production reaches 10-year highs in Spain Continued investments by the Iberdrola in renewables and its commitment to decarbonization has seen clean energy production in Spain reach a decade high. In the first quarter of 2024, the group generated 10,489 GWh with clean energy, an increase of 19.4% compared to the same period last year. The company has not had such a positive performance in clean generation in Spain since 2014, when it reached 12,427 GWh. This increased production is due to the new installed capacity and the increase in rainfall in the first quarter of the year. Iberdrola has installed more than 1,750 MW of renewable energy in Spain in the last 12 months, mainly solar PV (1,300 MW) and wind (340 MW), bringing its total to 21,708 MW of renewable energy. In addition, the levels of hydroelectric reserves are close to 80%. Leading the way in clean energy Globally, the company has managed to consolidate the generation level of 24,000 GWh of renewable energy in the first quarter of 2024 – a record figure – despite the negative performance of onshore wind, which has been offset by the increase in hydro generation. By country, in addition to Spain's exceptional performance, the increases in renewable generation in the United Kingdom (+4.3%), Mexico (+5.6%) and the rest of the world (+30.4%) stand out. The group's renewable capacity reached 42,371 MW – with more than 2,800 MW added in the last 12 months, as reported today by the company to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). Iberdrola has installed more than 1,600 MW of solar PV power and more than 1,200 MW of onshore and offshore wind. In addition, the sale of the 8,500 MW of combined cycle plants in Mexico stands out in this quarter. Given the company's commitment to renewable energy, the Group generates 100% emission-free energy in countries such as the United Kingdom, Brazil, France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Romania and Bulgaria. Emission-free production reaches 87% in Spain. Commitment to electrification In March Iberdrola presented its new 2024-2026 strategic plan, in which it has committed to invest 41 billion euros to promote the electrification of the economy. 60% of the investments will be allocated to networks, a major growth area for the Group. Investments in renewables will account for 30% of the total, mainly focused on offshore wind. Energy storage is another key area for the group. 1.5 billion euros will be invested to allow the company to reach 120 million KWh of storage capacity by 2026, which represents an increase of 20%. The group has an additional pipeline of 150 million kWh. READ MORE
