Our company

Iberdrola, a benchmark for our sustainable energy strategy

Faced with the need for a clean, reliable and smart business model, Iberdrola is placing investments in networks at the heart of its strategy. This is our way of driving the electrification of the economy and meeting the new needs of power grids.

Today, the Iberdrola Group is a leader in smart grids and renewables, with a diversified business and geographical portfolio. In our Strategic Plan, 85% of the planned investment will go to A-rated countries with stable, predictable and attractive regulatory frameworks. This will foster growth with greater stability, predictability, profitability and security.

Stakeholders

Iberdrola is committed to strengthening electricity grids

The Iberdrola Group began investing in renewable energy more than two decades ago as a key pillar on which to build its clean, reliable and smart business model. Thanks to this vision, the company is now a global leader in renewables, with more than 47,624 MW of renewable capacity installed worldwide at the end of the first half of 2025, and is spearheading the electrification of a low-emission economy.

This commitment is reflected in our 2025-2028 Strategic Plan, which makes the development of distribution and transmission networks the cornerstone of the company’s growth, particularly in the United Kingdom and the United States, where 65% of investment in these technologies will be allocated.

We create value for all our Stakeholders through socially responsible management

Iberdrola carries out its activities with the goal of creating sustainable value for all of its Stakeholders: this is what we call our social dividend. To achieve this, our strategy incorporates environmental, social and governance factors, as a substantial contribution to sustainable development.
