Only 25 % of the energy used in the world currently is electricity, and less than half of that electricity comes from renewable sources. Green production is advancing steadily, but its growth rate is slow when considering the consequences of increasingly evident climate change.

The concept that we need to promote renewable energy to achieve a decarbonized model is globally recognised, but it is not always given the priority status it deserves, according to Ignacio Galán, executive chairman of Iberdrola.
