ORIGIN
Hidroeléctrica IbéricaFounded in 1901 in Bilbao and establishes its business in the Ebro river basin.
Saltos del DueroFounded in 1907 and is established in the Duero river basin.
IberdueroFounded in 1944 from the merger between Hidroeléctrica Ibérica and Saltos del Duero.
Saltos del SilFounded in 1945 and is established in the Sil and Bibey river basins.
Hidroeléctrica EspañolaAlso known as Hidrola, it was founded in 1907 as part of Hidroeléctrica Ibérica to supply Madrid and Valencia.
IberdueroIn 1945 Iberduero merged with Saltos del Sil. The Iberduero name and logo were kept.
IberdrolaIn 1991 Iberduero merged with Hidroeléctrica Española, creating Iberdrola.

2001

In 2001, we committed to wind power. Our company spearheaded and embodied this change. It was an innovative commitment and the new image of the brand needed to reflect this. New image of the brand

Our positioning must be reflected in our logo. So we chose 3 elements.

    Clean energies. It reflects our commitment to the environment, nature and sustainability.
  • BLUE DROP

    Renewable energies. It alludes to wind and hydro power.
  • ORANGE DROP

    Renewable energies. It represents solar power and natural gas.
A "GLOCAL" BRAND
GlocalGlocal: Each market is unique. To become global, you must first adapt to the local market.

Iberdrola is a multinational company that has known how to identify and respect the needs of each country in which it operates. We have leveraged the experience gained from each market to strengthen the values of our brand.
