At Iberdrola, we have the MeteoFlow system to estimate how much our various installations will produce. Thanks to its advanced algorithms, this software system can analyse real data that, in turn, allows the company to make decisions in advance to face weather events or adjust the grid in real time.
Quantum computing, for its part, offers new ways of tackling highly complex problems, such as selecting the number, type, and optimal location of a storage battery in the power grid. Compared to the limits of traditional algorithms, this technology enables the simultaneous evaluation of millions of scenarios, helping to find increasingly accurate solutions.
