Start-Up Challenge

From the Iberdrola Group's startup program, PERSEO, we seek solutions that allow coordinating the integral cybersecurity of the Smart City by means of simulators for the design of joint solutions and for the early detection of cybersecurity incidents.

Spanish start-up SubSea Mechatronics (SSM) is working, in collaboration with Iberdrola, on the development of a submersible ROV capable of travelling through the cooling pipes of our thermal power plants, providing positioning and visual documentation for inspection and cleaning accumulated sediments or biofouling that hinder the correct flow of water.

Our PERSEO start-up programme has chosen the solution presented by Toumetis technology company, whose aim is to enhance the monitoring of our extensive underground cabling and the detection of potential incidents, particularly at cable joints.

From Iberdrola’s start-up programme, PERSEO, we are launching a challenge in search of new ideas that will allow us to increase the concentration of oxygen in the water flowing through the turbines of our hydroelectric dams, so that the biodiversity of the area is protected and all the requirements of the hydrographic basins are met.

Our start-up programme, PERSEO, is participating in a challenge to find environmental and digital solutions that will drive the efficient and sustainable development of the offshore wind industry in the US.

Iberdrola is accelerating its commitment to the development of a green economy in Asturias, which is set to become a major hub for industrialisation and employment, promoting new investments in renewables and more contracts awarded to the local industrial fabric related to sectors of the future.
