Iberdrola, through Avangrid Power, is participating in the development of an offshore wind farm close to the Outer Banks, off the Virginia and North Carolina coasts (USA). The wind farm will have a total estimated installed capacity of 3,500 MW and will provide 700,000 households with clean energy.
Through our subsidiary Vineyard Wind, Iberdrola has been generating clean energy for several months at the Vineyard Wind One offshore wind farm, located off the coast of Massachusetts. The farm, with a capacity of more than 800 MW, is already producing energy to supply homes and industries in New England.

Iberdrola Group is building a macro offshore wind complex in UK waters: the East Anglia Hub. This undertaking will see the development of four projects capable of delivering total installed capacity exceeding 3.9 GW: East Anglia ONE, which is already in operation, East Anglia ONE North, East Anglia TWO and East Anglia THREE. The work, which represents an investment of GBP 10 billion, began in 2022 and is expected to take four years.
Iberdrola has installed one of its photovoltaic projects in Castilla y León (Spain), a new wind farm and photovoltaic plant in Villarino, which adds 50 MW of green energy to its portfolio. Once the infrastructure is up and running, it generates enough clean energy to power the equivalent of 27,000 homes and avoid emitting 12,000 tons of CO₂/year into the atmosphere.
